Week in review march.31- April.4

Monday:
On Monday we played a game with rackets. It was something new to me and I enjoyed learning a new sport. I had a lot of fun with it as well. Myself as well as those around me, all challenge ourselves to support others and improve upon ourselfs as we really didn't have any skill going into this game. I loved this class as I had a good workout leaning something new, and had a lot of fun doing it. :)

Tuesday: pond run/ absent.

Wednesday:
Today we were in the weight room. Our goal was to pick two muscles, and find 3 workouts for each. For each of these workouts we were to do 3 sets of 10. The muscles I chose were triceps and abs. For abs I did a lot of floor excersices, and for triceps I used one machine, and the rest weights. My partner and I continually challenged ourselves, and encouraged one another even after we started to become very sore. I was proud of myself in this class as I independently was able to make useful workouts for myself.

Thursday:
This was day 2 in the weight room. Today I continued mr.strohs challenge of doing 3 excersices with 3 reps of 10 for each muscle. However, since I know it's hard on the body to weight lift the same muscles back to back days, I chose to workout my legs, but also as a second to work on my cardio a little. By the end of the day my legs were very sore, but I guess that proves I pushed myself to the best of my abilities. I worked out my legs on the machines, and for cardio used the bicycles, elliptical, and treadmill. Due to the fact that cardio was only a portion of my workout, my goal was to burn 100 calories between the elliptical and treadmill. I succeed to do so and was proud of myself for reaching my goal and completing all my other workouts in the alotted time. Here is my digital proof of me reaching my goal:

Friday:
Today was circuits. I absolutely loved today, I was able to work on many different exercises that pushed me in different ways. I liked being able to run, because I want to get my endurance back. Furthermore I like how during the intervals we were able to stretch in new ways, or with with weights a little. I found myself gravitating towards more of the stretches, which is not a bad thing as I am a dancer and I need to be flexible. I ran my hardest and was proud of myself for not stopping for the full 40 minutes. I only visited mountain once :)
