Dance

One of the out of school activities I do is Dance. I dance at a studio one a week for an hour. It's not much in studio time but it requires a lot of practice and commitment. I am a lyrical and jazz dancer, and have been dancing for 3 years. Dance is one way I take charge my of own fitness and take care of my body and health outside of PE class. Some say dance isn't a sport, but I always get a good workout from it, and therefore I consider it a sport. I've gone through blood, sweat, and tears, to better myself in dance. Furthermore, I dance with 7 other girls. Because of this, I've been taught how to work closely with other people as a team. Dance is also taught me how to be a leader and voice my opinions and thoughts. The skills I learn in dance, I have learned to use in PE class. Dance helps better my fitness and I hope I continue to do it for a very long time.

  1. Dance isn't a sport... its DANCE! It is a great workout and a wonderful way to stay healthy and express yourself. It doesn't have to be a sport to be hard, or valuable. Thanks for sharing.
